The consultant pediatrician and neonatologist indicated that breast swelling in children is a normal condition that occurs for some children and disappears after birth within a period of one to four weeks. He stressed that the mother's tendency to juice the baby's breast from milk causes some infections, which causes an abscess to form in the breast and that requires surgery to remove it.
